Coed Cross Country

NAHS_CrossCountry_Hi_Black

Official cross country practice starts on Aug. 1, 2017.  However, summer workouts start the week of May 22rd and have been distributed to athletes.  All athletes interested in being on the cross country team in August must execute the summer workouts.

The summer workout program is extremely important to the success of the NAHS cross country program, since is encompasses 45% (10 of the 22.5 weeks) of the season (May 22 – July 31).  Athletes are expected to report to practice on Aug. 1st – In Shape.  The season is NOT for getting into basic shape.  It is for:

  1. Building strength
  2. Building speed
  3. Refining race tactics

In order to practice, you must complete all the paperwork highlighted in yellow on the Running Warrior web site www.narunningwarriors.com. Paperwork is due on Aug. 1, 2017.  Athletes should report to the grass practice field by the parking deck by 4:10 PM.
