Track & Field

NAHS_TrackAndField_Hi_Black

Before you can participate in a practice, you need to complete and turn in all of the paperwork highlighted in yellow on the web site (www.narunningwarriors.com).  Partial paperwork will NOT be accepted.  If you have already participated in a fall or winter sport and have a concussion form, consent of insurance and physical on file, all we need is your AIF and Team Values forms (#s 1 and 2 on the list).  Paperwork will be accepted until 7:30 PM Feb. 1st.  If you want to be on the team, you must submit your paperwork by then.

The winter workout program is extremely important to the success of the NAHS track and field program, since is encompasses 32% (7 of the 22 weeks) of the season (Nov 28 – April 29).  Athletes are expected to report to practice on Jan. 17thIn Shape.  The season is NOT for getting into basic shape.  It is for:

  1. Building strength
  2. Building speed & coordination
  3. Refining race tactics and skill in technical events (hurdles, jumps, throws)
