North Atlanta Warriors Varsity Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Westminster

North Atlanta Warriors Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Westminster on Friday. The game was tied at one with North Atlanta Warriors Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Tyler Israel singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. North Atlanta Warriors Varsity pitchers struck out four, while Westminster pitchers sat down nine.

North Atlanta Warriors Varsity fired up the offense in the second inning, when North Atlanta Warriors Varsity scored one run on a stolen base.

In the top of the fourth inning, Westminster tied things up at one when Polhemus singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Foster Olson took the win for North Atlanta Warriors Varsity. He went five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out four. Wiley Hartley threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Hartley recorded the last six outs to earn the save for North Atlanta Warriors Varsity.

Edmonston took the loss for Westminster. He allowed two hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one.
Jennetta started the game for Westminster. He went four innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out eight.

Ike Mundy led North Atlanta Warriors Varsity with two hits in two at bats.

Polhemus went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Westminster in hits. Westminster didn’t commit a single error in the field. Yasuda had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
