North Atlanta Warriors Varsity Drops Game To Dunwoody After Late Score

North Atlanta Warriors Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Dunwoody pulled away late in a 9-7 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at seven with Dunwoody batting in the top of the eighth when Josh Hudgins doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Despite the loss, North Atlanta Warriors Varsity did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Dunwoody had eight hits on the way to victory.

North Atlanta Warriors Varsity opened up an early lead in the first inning when Mark Church singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Dunwoody scored four runs in the seventh inning. Jack Hardin and Joe Carter each drove in runs during the inning.

Mick Madden led the Dunwoody to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out 12 and walking one. Dylan Kovitch threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Wiley Hartley took the loss for North Atlanta Warriors Varsity. He surrendered two runs on one hit over two innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Isaiah Worley started the game for Dunwoody. He went one-third of an inning, allowing six runs on four hits. Narada Monge started the game for North Atlanta Warriors Varsity. He allowed four hits and three runs over four and a third innings, striking out nine.

North Atlanta Warriors Varsity collected eight hits. Nick Gaitan and Brett Roberts each collected multiple hits for North Atlanta Warriors Varsity. Roberts and Gaitan each collected two hits to lead North Atlanta Warriors Varsity.

Dunwoody racked up eight hits. Hudgins, Brian Boatright, and Hardin all managed multiple hits for Dunwoody. Hudgins went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Dunwoody in hits.
